- 1 Green Peppers
- Large handful of green beans
- 1 Cucumber
- 3 Apples
- Large handful of salad (rocket or anything else you have)
If eating fruit is tough then getting your 5 a day in terms of vegetables is even tougher. Luckily this juice is not only incredibly tasty but more less the healthiest thing that you could ever put in to your body. I’ve been drinking them for a couple of days and the change in the amount of energy you have is incredible. While most of us rely on coffee or other stimulants one of these a day would be the best way to go. You will need a juicing machine but you can pick one of these for next to nothing these days and once you taste this juice you’ll be glad you did.
The ingredients are simple enough and this is a gorgeous juice but you could really fuck anything in there. This is the sort of juice that is perfect for emptying the fridge out and using up all the odds and ends that you have in there.
Start by washing all the veg before you start juicing it. Just a quick run under the water. Then start passing it through. Doesn’t really matter what order although keep the cucumber til last.
You’ll see that the juice creates a lot of pulp but you also get a surprising amount of liquid out of things like the green beans and that is pure goodness.
Push the salad through as well. The juicer will pulp it up and draw all the nice liquid out of it.
You’ll find that the peppers produce a lot of juice but you might have to force them through the machine as their texture is a little harder.
The apple is the only fruit in there and it is a great thing to add to any vegetable juice as it brings a lot of the natural sweetness.
The cucumber can go in last and because it is so soft with so much juice it is great for cleaning out all the other veg you put in first.
You’ll have a huge amount of pulp and lots of delicious juice at this stage. You can use the pulp to give to chickens or pigs if you happen to have any or else just throw it out. Push some of the frothy part through and get the last amounts of juice out.
You should get a couple of nice glasses of juice which will be enough for 2 of you or if you are on a mega health drive a pint for yourself.
The hardest part of this recipe is making sure you have a good juicer but once you have one you are never going to be looking back. One glass of this and you have more than your daily required veg intake done in less than 10 minutes. The really good thing about it is unlike most healthy stuff this juice actually tastes amazing and won’t be something that you are going to dread consuming every day. GIve it a lash and you won’t regret it!
