6 Weird And Wonderful Christmas Meals Available In Manchester This Year

Tradition is overrated...

1. Almost Famous Xmas Special

The holy grail of unusual looking festive feasts in this city.

Containing maple bacon, buttermilk turkey, waffle fries and the patented Almost Famous 'xmas slaw' all contained inside a double patty, this behemoth looks like enough to feed a small family on Christmas day.

2. Solita's Christmas Burger

The Christmas burger to end all Christmas burgers.

A brioche bun stacked with a sage and onion patty, buttermilk fried turkey, a gammon slice, port and cranberry sauce, deep fried sprouts, turkey gravy, a candied pig in a blanket and aged cheddar cheese.

If that's not enough, the restaurant will also donate 50p from every Christmas burger sold to Age UK's 'Call In Time' service.

How good does this bad boy look?!

3. TGI Friday's Christmas Dinner In A Sundae Glass

TGI Fridays have combined two of life's greatest pleasures in the form of Christmas Dinner in a glass.

The meal contains pulled chicken, mashed potato, cranberry sauce and sage and onion stuffing all pretty much served in a dessert glass.

Remind you of anything?

4. A Roast On A Tree Log

As featured earlier this week on this very website, Manchester pop up FEAST are serving a festive friendly lunch on a tree trunk.

Yes, you read that correctly!

5. Christmas Sharing Boards At Dukes 92

Christmas is a time of sharing so why not gather the crew and sample the best boards this Castle Street venue have to offer.

With potted duck, carved ham and roast turkey, all that's missing is some Christmas crackers and hot drinks!

6. KFC's Christmas burger

Not that KFC always springs to mind when planning festive meals but this effort can't be ignored.

One of the chain's Original Recipe fillets, a hash brown, cheese, lettuce, cranberry sauce, and a sage and onion stuffing mayonnaise makes Christmas with the Colonel well worth sampling!
