I’m pretty confident when I say I’ve tried most gins out there.
From mince pie flavoured gin, to clotted cream infused, to colour changing liquid magic.
HOWEVER, classics are classics for a reason, right? And this flavoured gin does not disappoint.

The Magnet’s Passionfruit and Vanilla gin is produced by Solway Spirits and is inspired by their love for gin and Pornstar Martinis.
It tastes as fresh as it looks – perfect for warm summer evenings (hello heatwave) and pairings with fresh lime and strawberries.

The Magnet is a family friendly pub near Heaton Norris in Stockport, with a large beer garden and two elevated terraces, which act as sun traps during the summer months.
It’s a great choice if you want the taste of a Pornstar Martini in a lighter drink, perfect for those wanting a taste after a long working day.
I tried The Magnet’s passionfruit and vanilla gin with a can of Fever Tree and my lunch. The first thing that struck me was that it wasn’t too sweet (which is a great thing).

Sometimes with these flavoured gins, there’s the temptation to add loads of sugar to counteract the bitterness.
With The Magnet’s, it tasted light and fruity, and gave me subtle hints of one of my fave cocktails, the Pornstar Martini.
The tasty passionfruit and vanilla spirit is available by the glass on the pub’s craft gin menu – known as “The Magnet Gin”, it’s served with Fever Tree tonic, lime and strawberries for £5.50.
Solway Spirit gins are also available to buy by the bottle at £29.99 each.
