Good news for fans of Altrincham Market.

The popular food and drink fair is about to make make the journey over to Swan Street in the Northern Quarter.

Altrincham is one of the more popular markets in the Greater Manchester Area and organisers are now set to double the fun by opening another version in the old Mackie Mayor building.

The Mackie Mayor building, built in 1858, was originally a meat market but closed in 1974.

The new NQ development will follow a similar model to Altrincham, and it is proposed that current traders such as pizzeria Honest Crust, steakhouse Tender Cow ,bakery Katie’s Cakes,  Blackjack brewery and Reserve Wines will all be expanding their operations into Mackie Mayor.
