Just Eat Is Hitting Customers With An Annoying New Charge
Just Eat is under fire for adding a 50p charge to all orders - with people criticising the move as "awful".
The food delivery service has brought in the 'service charge' - applied since January 8 - as the European Union has banned all card surcharges on purchases.
It says that "the change to legislation did play a part in prompting the review".
But people are pretty unhappy...
@JustEatUK 50p "service charge" are you just blatantly trying to get rid of your customer base? Awful.— Wardner75 (@Wardner75) January 8, 2018
The profiteering racketeers that are #JustEat have announced that from Monday ALL orders will be subject to a 50p 'service charge' - for nothing! This is totally unfair, so on Monday #boycottjusteat please re-tweet!— GoFood - Leeds (@GoFoodLeeds) January 3, 2018
