An afternoon tea fit for royalty is being served in the new Hotel Indigo in the city centre.
Hotel Indigo Manchester, opposite Victoria Station, has launched the decadent Manchester-inspired Afternoon Tea, served in its M Cafe by Mamucium.
Salmon on rye bread
Manchester’s iconic purple drink serves as inspiration for Vimto Macrons, which are accompanied by mini Manchester Tarts, a Lemon Choux Bun and Chocolate Orange Opera cake.
And no afternoon tea is fit without home-baked scones served with Chantilly cream and an assortment of jams.
The afternoon tea from M Cafe
For savoury, guests can gorge on chunky tuna and feta wraps, mini Lancashire oven bottom muffins filled with locally sourced honey roasted ham and pickle, Goosenargh egg mayonnaise, wholemeal sandwiches and open-topped rye bread sandwiches of soft cream cheese and Manchester Smokehouse salmon.
Vimto flavoured macrons
The Afternoon Tea is served alongside locally-sourced coffee from Salford Roasters, or loose-leaf tea from Denton-based The Manor.
There is the option to add on a glass of fizz for an additional £4.50.
The Afternoon Tea is served daily in M Cafe, situated inside Hotel Indigo Manchester – Victoria Station, and is £14.95 per person.
