Manchester's Yang Sing restaurant will be serving complimentary tippy loose leaf tea this week, to celebrate National Tea Day.

On Friday 21 April, between 12pm and 4pm, the Chinese Cantonese restaurant located on Princess Street will be offering the chance to taste authentic tea, imported directly from a tea master in Hong Kong, for free.

Bonnie Yeung, co-owner of Yang Sing has said:

“By offering complimentary tea we hope to encourage people to try new and different teas; there are some great health benefits to tea."

"Most of our teas are first pick leaves, picked from the tips of the bushes, making them more fragrant and expensive. There are also some fantastic health benefits, including aiding digestion and detoxing. My favourite is pu'er for its darky woody flavour profile, but my mother also tells me it's great for weight loss!”

Yang Sing serves 8 different tea leaves; Pu'Er, Shui Xin, Dragonwell, Orange Pekoe, Oolong, Jasmine, Shoe Mei, Chrysanthemum, and then various blends as well.  For more info hop across to their website here
