I’ll be honest, I’m not even much of a drinker, so when I’m enthusiastic about a place that’s sole duty it is to serve alcohol…you know it’s good.
I’d like to think that I’m the only person who knows about this bar, as if I’m the one who discovered it.
Most likely that isn’t the case, and you’re fully aware of it – but I would like to do my best to tell a few more of you.
So, without further adieu, I introduce the wonder that is Arcane.
What is it that makes this place so special?
Honestly, my favourite part is that the fact that it’s hidden, somewhere you least expect – and when you do eventually make your way there, you don’t expect it to look the way it does.
It’s a pleasant surprise the minute you walk in.
Supported by exposed brick walls, cosy AF candle lighting and old wooden chairs and tables – its definitely the perfect spot to take your date if you’re looking to impress.
But it doesn’t stop there.
The atmosphere is one thing, but another impressive trait is just how wonderful their staff are.
Every single time I’ve been to that place, they’ve been nothing but polite, friendly and most-importantly – they know their alcohol.
So when you don’t have a clue what to order, just tell them the type of drink you fancy and they’ll produce something tailored just to your liking.
I can’t even remember what I ordered, some kind of cherry gin cocktail – but I had plenty of them that’s for sure, and that says it all.
Plus! It’s table service too, so you can stay put and drink yourself merry.
On another side note, something else I’ve noticed at Arcane is that their DJ’s are bloody brilliant.
I’ve seen two different DJ’s there so far and both times I’ve sat there and thought ‘that guy loves his job’ and the tunes and atmosphere that come as a result…are bangin’.
So, if you’re looking for a cute, cosy night with a top atmosphere and somewhere tucked away from the rest of the world…Arcane is your place.
But shhh…don’t tell everyone.
