PUSH THE BRAKES!

Car Labelled Reuse

A pop-up bar serving cocktails and beers will open next to the iconic Manchester building this Saturday (3rd December.)

Car-themed bevvies

The 'Spark Plug', 'Anti-Freeze', 'Silencer', 'Super Charger', 'Throttle and Piston' will be the order of the day in a quirky car-themed bar aptly named Garage - launching this weekend and open through to April next year.

Staff will be dressed in mechanic's overalls and even the interior wall lights will be created from old headlights, with car front grills and license plates adorning the walls.

The landmark that is Manchester Hall (previously the Freemasons Hall) will be neighbour to the new bar on Bridge Street, close to Spinningfields in the city centre.

With capacity of up to 120 people, Garage will also be catering for private parties of up to 80.

Set to be the first in what will be a series of new openings as part of a £7 million Manchester Hall refurbishment by Vision Developments, who comment:

“We were occupying what was a former garage space so we thought we’d have a bit of fun with the theme – especially as it’s only here for a few months."

"We’re aiming to be a bit of light relief and give people a chance to come down, have a few drinks and have a real laugh in a bar that’s not taking itself too seriously.”

Win a 50 quid tab!

Yup - Garage is offering the chance to win a £50 tab by following them and sharing a post on TwitterInstagram or Facebook:
