Yorkshire Pudding burrito-style ‘wraps’ were an absolute hit at the Manchester Christmas Markets last year, with queues all the way from the stall around Exchange Square turning up every day without fail to get a taste of the incredible hybrid creation – which features pork, mixed veg, stuffing, and lashings of gravy all packaged up nicely in a giant yorkshire pudding.

It’s not hard to see why they proved so popular…

And now the famous  Porky Pig is set to open its first permanent unit here in the city centre!

The venue will pitch up on Cooper Street to serve its delights the whole year through for a fiver apiece. Dangerous for the New Year diet if you work in the city…

Owner Eddie Osmon shared a recent teaser on social media, and seems determined to bring a taste of proper Northern (not to mention affordable) scran to the people of Manchester.

We literally cannot wait…

Pork Pig will open to the public on March 12, Monday to Saturday 7am to 5pm.

You can keep up with all the latest updates over on their official Facebook page here.
