The Principal Hotel looked as stunning as its 1,500-strong guestlist crowd as it opened its doors for one of Manchester's most glamorous, star-studded parties...

In true Hollywood-glamour style, guests were offered a mini bottle of Moet-branded champagne on arrival to wet the palate for the night's - in some cases - somewhat raunchy line-up of entertainment...

Guests were entertained by the likes of special guests Sink The Pink and Horse Meat Disco, as well as the Unabombers Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford who kicked things off with a banging a DJ set in the main hall.

Global music DJ Mark Ronson was just one of the esteemed artists and guests to attend...

Film stars Dougray Scott and Tamer Hassan were in attendance to the Oxford Road party on the night, along with Saturdays star Vanessa White, opera singer Camilla Kerslake, fashion designers Henry Holland and Charlie Casey-Hayford - all together to celebrate the “real capital of cool with a northern knees up.”

Guests dined on food from The Refuge, and menu delights included their distinguished broccolini with garlic crumbs and belly-stuffed whole seabass, pine nuts, coriander and preserved lemon, served with wines from Bibendum and cocktails by High Spirits.

And the hotel's £25m transformation looks to be paying off, the place has been packed with Manc locals and tourists who've heard the rave reviews since The Refuge opened in September.

Fashion designer Henry Holland, originally from Bury, headed back to the city alongside model Jade Parfitt and was astounded by the night's events:

"It’s incredible for the city that there are so many new developments.”
