Mascoted by Manchester's favourite puss - who goes by the name of Boyeyed Bert - the Cat Cafe is one of the Northern Quarter's most cherished venue.

But those in Greater Manchester given to affection of the canine variety had been left out... until now.

Central Bark and the Beach dog Cafe is the region's first dog cafe where playing with pooches and petting pups is basically a requirement.

The Wythenshawe cafe is a beach-themed paradise, and the dogs get in on the act with some adorable Facebook snaps.

They even have deck chairs!

Owners can visit the caf while their own pups play with the other dogs, while those without puppies can come and cuddle others.

It's £17.50 for day care for your dog, and overnight stays in the dog hotel are £21.50.
