FIRST LOOK: Don Giovanni Boss Is Opening This New Gourmet Steakhouse Tonight
From the brains behind award-winning Manchester restaurants Don Giovanni and Rosso - meet MUMU Steakhouse!
MUMU sees director Adam Karim return to his Asian roots with his newest venture, which will use only the finest locally-sourced ingredients and freshest meat from British butchers.
The sleek open-plan 100-cover beauty also boats a private area at the back of the venue for parties and special bookings.
House milkshakes and mocktails will be the order of the day to accompany the restaurant's signature 14oz chargrilled British halal steaks, marinated cuts of lean British lamb and Buffalo BBQ ribs. Steaks come in at just under £20 (a bargain considering the quality) with surf 'n' turf an extra £4.50.
And if red meat isn't your bag, there are variety of mouthwatering menu options including 'proper' fish and chips, tiger prawns and even truffle man 'n' cheese!
"Having everything home-made from scratch - everything from our steak sauces to our chocolate brownie is a matter of pride to me."
And the proof's in the pud, both MUMU's take on the traditionally British strawberries and cream (topped with individually flipped, tray-baked strawberry 'crisps') and triple layer brownies are mouth-watering.
The all-halal, family-friendly Steakhouse opens to the public at 5pm today and is situated in Preston's residential London Road, just a 10-minute walk from the city centre.
