Dum dum dum dum....

Sound a little fishy?

Well you better believe it – in a quirky one-off move Victoria Baths are screening the 70s Spielberg classic Jaws tonight from a swimming pool!

Talk about immersive cinema experience…this one will leave you with more chills than Danny from Grease.

The Grade II listed building will provide the ultimate setting of history and grandeur for this one-off pop-up film experience.

The audience will be seated not just on the Mezzanine level of the Baths and around the Gala pool but actually IN it too! But there’s no need to panic – because the pool is empty.

Doors open at 7 and the audience will also enjoy entertainment and street food from the Cheeky Cantonese that is Dim Sum Su, as well as I Knead Pizza and Gingers Comfort Emporium…there’ll also be music from DJ Jimmy The Gent and a fully stocked bar. The screening will start at 8.30pm when the audience will be invited to choose a chair from the mixed seating available which includes vintage beach deck chairs and inflatable dinghies!

Victoria Baths history and renown as the ‘water palace’ of Manchester makes it the perfect setting to compliment such a widely-acclaimed film classic and anyone lucky enough to have tickets can expect a truly magical cinema experience.

Jaws has been classified 12A – tickets are £14 for adults (16+) and £11 for children, students and seniors.
