1. The Nave, The Manchester Monastery

Step into Christmas by adding a taste of Africa to this year’s party. From private parties, booth hire, private room hire and cocktail master classes, Tusk caters for parties of up to 320 people. And even better, the event organiser for parties of over 12 people is given a £30 voucher to spend on food or drink there during January.

3. Mercure Hotel

Jingle all the way through your Christmas party at this Rio Carnival. You’ll be treated to incredible food and wonderful music, with all the sights, sounds and colours of Rio itself. 4. Victoria Warehouse

At Victoria Warehouse, you can let your imagination run wild. With the fee you’ll be provided with a DJ, access to the VIP mezzanine, banquet-style tables and chairs with beautiful furnishings and access to multiple bars. 5. Lounge on 12 

For a more spectacular spin on Christmas parties, the Lounge on Tower 12 hires out it’s terrace, offering the stunning city skyline as your backdrop. Just imagine watching the sun set on the Manchester winter wonderland with a cocktail in hand to welcome in the festive season!

6. Tatton Park

Be transported to the States at this ‘New York New York’ party in Tatton Park. From the 2nd to the 31st December, you can experience the Big Apple from £52.50 per person. With a glass of fizz on arrival and a 3 course meal, you can truly get into the festive spirit. Have your own Fairytale of New York while dining in the Pavilion too, with a starlit ceiling made up of 10,000 lights. You’ll get to enjoy a feast of entertainment as well, including competitions, party games and New York style performers.

7. Imperial War Museum North

For something a little different, how about getting jolly at the Imperial War Museum? Not only do they offer a Winter Wonderland experience, but they also provide a bespoke package which lets you decorate the room in your theme of choice – from Narnia to an Alpine Ski Village and everything in-between, just take your pick! They even provide an event management team to help your party run smoothly. With space for between 300 and 700 people, you can rock around with the Christmas tree with all your colleagues.

8. Jamie’s Italian

Sit and back and relax with family, friends or colleagues while enjoying a 3 course Italian festive feast! Jamie Oliver and his team have created a selection of Christmas menus which are available at his restaurants across the country. Available between the 21st November and 31st December, the prices range from under £30 to £50 per person depending on which menu you opt for. You’ll even be welcomed to the restaurant with crackers and a glass of fizz too, so you won’t be left feeling frosty.

9. Museum of Science and Industry

For a not so silent night, you can spend your Christmas party reminiscing at this Dance Through The Decades party at the Museum of Science and Industry. The resident DJ will take you on a trip through the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s, while the glitterball-themed counter pieces on the tables will leave you feeling nostalgic. From the 1st to the 22nd December, tickets cost from £38.95 and you even have the option of making it a shared or exclusive event.

10. Whitworth Hall, Manchester University

For an exquisite festive feast under the mistletoe, the University of Manchester offers it’s Grade II listed Whitworth Hall for private events of up to 300 people. Ideal for work Christmas parties, you’ll be getting merry and dining in style as you celebrate the festive season.

11. Great John Street Hotel

Great John Street Hotel have a number of rooms on offer for private Christmas bookings. You can take over their ground floor mezzanine and Oyster Bar with it’s majestic chandelier, or pick one of their other rooms, including the Hotel’s showpiece Rooftop Lounge. 12. Event City

You’ll wish it could be Christmas every day after going to Event City’s Masquerade Ball. From the 2nd to the 17th December, the venue will transform into a Venetian Carnival. Enjoy a 3 course meal while listening to singers and being entertained by fire, pyrotechnic and aerial performers. You can even have a go in the casino or ride the dodgems and Waltzers to finish off the night. Tickets start at £41 and a minimum of 8 places must be booked, so it’s ideal for an office party!

For a star-studded party, why not book in to the Hall of Fame at the Football Museum? From just £35 per person, you’ll get exclusive use of the Hall and main gallery, along with sparkling wine on arrival, a 3 course meal, DJ and a Christmas Coordinator to help deliver the perfect party. 14. The Lowry Hotel 

Get rid of your inner Scrooge at this Dickensian themed party at The Lowry Hotel. Tickets for this shared party between the 25th November and the 23rd December start at £45 per person and you’ll be treated to delicious food and a night of thrilling entertainment. The Hotel also offers private functions with event planners to take the stress off you. With rooms to suit anywhere from 15 to 280 guests, you can invite all your colleagues. 15. Hope Mill Theatre

Pull up your festive stockings and come to this cabaret to get you in the Christmas spirit. Hope Mill Theatre is hosting an adults only Christmas Cabaret featuring singing, dancing, burlesque and comedy. Book a Premier cabaret table for just £80 and you’ll get seating for 4 people along with a bottle of Prosecco and mince pies – yum! Otherwise, standard tickets cost £15 each.
