You're not going to want to miss this
A huge sing-along with projected song lyrics have been announced to mark the anniversary of the Manchester Arena Attack on May 22 last year, in the first of many events planned around the city next month.
Hundreds were seriously injured and twenty-two people were killed when Salman Abedi's bomb went off at an Ariana Grande concert in the Manchester Arena on 22 May last year.
Manchester Together - With One Voice will be held on Tuesday 22 May, with choirs from all all over Manchester coming together for a special performance.
The last 30 minutes of the event will be broadcast on BBC Radio Manchester, and will be a live, communal sing-along.
The event listing reads: "The event is open to anyone who wants to come together, with one voice, for a mass-singalong in a united act of remembrance.
"Supported by choirs from across the region, we’ll have a selection of songs that evoke pride and solidarity."
Another event, There Is A Light, is due to be held between 22 and 26 May, where song lyrics will be projected onto the pavement and buildings in St Ann's Square, including St Ann's Church.
The event listing adds: "The square became an important place for reflection and paying respects to those who lost their lives."
Families of the victims and members of the public are invited to make song and lyric suggestions here.
A service, which will be screened in several locations around the UK, is due to be held on the 22 May in Manchester Cathedral, the BBC reports.
