A Dreamy Production Of Amélie: The Musical Is Heading To Manchester

Remember the 2001 French rom-com about a shy waitress named Amélie?

Yes? You’re in luck! The whimsical story of Amélie Poulain, originally played by French actress Audrey Tautou, is heading to the stage – coming to Manchester this summer.

Amélie: The Musical is coming to the Manchester Opera House from Tuesday 6 until Saturday 10 August 2019, featuring an original soundtrack based on the much loved five-time Oscar-nominated film.

The show features Audrey Brisson (The Elephantom) and Danny Mac (Strictly Come Dancing) in the lead roles, and will transport you to the contemporary Parisian setting of Montmartre.

Of the production, a spokesperson said: “Come and be inspired by this imaginative dreamer who finds her voice, discovers the power of connection and sees possibilities around every corner.

“Although times are hard for dreamers, Amélie is someone to believe in.”
