This Christmas 2018, Heaton Hall will for the very first time be home to a magical theatre event for the festive season...
The Hall is set to be transformed into a magical glittering stage ahead of performances on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th December.
“Come one come all to Heaton Hall for a magical Christmas Tale”
The award-winning Feelgood theatre are bringing their unique style of theatre magic to Manchester and giving audiences an exclusive glimpse inside Heaton Hall.
Following their critically acclaimed Romeo and Juliet this summer, the guys have created a brand new show at Heaton Park - to be presented through traditional storytelling, singing and sharing.
On Sunday 16th, audiences are sure to be captivated by the talents of Crumpsall Concert Band for Carol Singing after each show.
Festive feel-good on a new level...
"It’s almost time for the Christmas Ball and for Santa Claus to call, but when cook starts mixing the pudding ghostly footings start to occur. Can the singing Mr Hedges and the dancing Mrs C with the help of Tinkerbell and a Manchester Bee help create the special Christmas recipe? There’s mystery and merriment, singing and surprise but will we be ready for midnight when sleigh bells are heard ringing?"
The show is set to be a family Christmas treat to treasure, and everyone attending (children and big kids alike) is encouraged to dress up - there'll be a prize for the best-dressed and in the Long Gallery of the Hall there will be mince pies and other delights to buy - and you can meet and chat to the many other groups in the park: The Astronomers, the Bee Keepers, the Tramway and The Friends of Heaton Hall.
Manchester City Council's Executive Member for Schools, Culture and Leisure, Councillor Luthfur Rahman, says:
"This festive production from Feelgood Theatre will take audiences inside the wonderful Heaton Hall, promising a memorable experience not to be missed. It's another reason to add a visit to Heaton Park to your family's Christmas calendar and also gives you the chance to learn more about all the park has to offer year-round."
