Everyone is suddenly talking about Christmas, despite it being months away.

And trust us, there is plenty of festive fun to get excited about, including over 300 stalls this year, and now, an entire ice village.

Yep - located in Cathedral Gardens, the village will be made entirely out of ice, featuring an ice bar, cave, frozen toy factory, Santa's grotto, and an ice rink.

Created by Hamilton Ice

Set to be the biggest Britain has ever seen, the village is the brainchild of sculptors Hamilton Ice, known for creating the Magical Ice Kingdom at Winter Wonderland in London’s Hyde Park, in collaboration with Manchester City Council.

And the centrepiece is the Ice Cave: a minus 10 degrees world with over 100 amazing hand carved ice sculptures created especially for us.

The Ice Bar

The story of Manchester will be woven into the Ice Cave, with sculptures referencing local iconic figures, such as Emmeline Pankhurst.

Work has already started on the village, which is due to open in November, with tributes to Manchester's rich industrial history and suffrage movement.

There will also be a frozen steam train and vintage fairground games.

Tickets are now available to buy and you can your hands on them here.

Time to start wrapping up, Mancs!
