A Boozy Brunch Where You Pay With Tampons Instead Of Cash Is Coming To Manchester
The event is for a bloody good cause
A brunch event is coming to the city centre this month - with a twist.
The Bloody Big Brunch will be heading to Manchester's Tribeca with TV presenter and personality Stacey Solomon, ready to serve some Bloody Marys all day long.
However, attendees won't be paying for their cocktails with cash.
NEWS: Our #BloodyBigBrunch just got even bigger! We're SO EXCITED 🙌🤸♀️🌈❣️that our ally +girlfriend @StaceySolomon is joining the team as our very 1st campaign ambassador. The brunch experience requires guests to pay for their Bloody Marys with menstrual products, in an effort to highlight the all-too-common problem of period poverty.
All products raised in the event will be donated to those in need.
According to organisers, at least 1 in 10* women in the UK are faced with using old clothes, toilet paper and newspaper whilst on their period.

Stacey will be joining the event, which is taking place at Tribeca (50 Sackville Street) on Saturday 8th September, as the campaign’s first ambassador.
A spokesperson for the event said: "The Bloody Big Brunch will serve-up the classic cocktail all day long - but there’s a catch. It can only be ‘bought’ in exchange for menstrual products."
The event is running from 12pm until 4pm and you can get your tickets here.
