Manchester’s magnificent Monastery in Greater Manchester’s Gorton will soon play host to a mystical new school, opening in February 2019.
The so-called Wizardry School is organised by the same team that put on the Draig-Con event at Manchester’s Printworks in July and the October event at Victoria Warehouse where over 20,000 Harry Potter fans attended the two events.
“An interactive magical experience is coming to The Monastery…”
Wizardry School will accept 250 students for a full day of lessons, taught by Wizard Masters trained in the ancient arts of sorcery and spell-making.
Think Wand-Duelling, Potion-Making, Herbology and Secrets Behind The Magic will provide the curriculum but students will also be expected to sign up to the Charter of Responsible Wizardry.
Wizardry School will be set in the incredible backdrop of The Monastery in Gorton and the day will end with a Graduation Ceremony in the breathtaking Great Nave, with certificates being presented by one of the Harry Potter film actors.
School Day is planned for Saturday 23 February 9.30am – 5.30pm 2019 but further days may be released with permission from the Grand Board of Wizards.
The day at Wizardry School includes…
- Four magical classes where you’ll learn your inner wizard
- Your very own hand-lathed wooded wand to take home
- Lunch in the school’d magnificent Grand Hall
- Graduation Certificate, presented by a Harry Potter film actor.
- The wisdom of our Wizard Masters in return for your promise to use your new powers responsibly!
Applications for Wizardry School must be directed through the school website at www.wizardry-school.co.uk.
