Lindsay Lohan is getting us all excited about the prospect of an actual Mean Girls sequel with a load of celebrity cameos and herself as the leading lady once again…
The gorgeous redhead told Entertainment Tonight:
“The whole cast wants to do it, but we have to make sure we’re all doing it together…Jimmy Fallon’s also going for it too. He was helping me out today, actually. We’d have SO much fun doing it!”
The original 2004 film focuses on Lohan as 16-year old Cady Heron, a previously home-schooled girl who’s moved from Africa to attend an American high school which has very complicated politics, and is ruled by a group of “Plastics” – a small group of beautiful but mean teens.
The cult comedy written by Tina Fey and directed by Mark Waters also stars Rachel McAdams, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried (i.e “The Plastics”) and has been on our favourite movie list since forever and we’re dying for the rumours to be confirmed by the movie powers-that-be.
Details are being kept hush-hush for now and who knows what we could expect from a second film just yet but no doubt it’d be a huge hit.
