The new trailer for the highly anticipate live action remake of the The Lion King has just dropped and it’s giving us goosebumps.
The original cartoon edition, which was released over 20 years ago, was for many of us a hallmark of our childhood and this new CGI edition is sure to give us some serious nostalgic feels.
This new trailer dropped during last night’s Oscars telecast and confirmed the most crucial detail of all – the release date.
Check it out below:
The short trailer gives us a glimpse of the iconic opening scene where Simba is presented to the kingdom on pride rock. The CGI is so real, you almost forget these aren’t real lions. I am in complete awe of technology right now.
The live action adaptation has some huge names attached to it such as Donald Glover (Simba), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar), Beyonce (Nala), Seth Rogan (Pumba), Bily Eichner (Timon) and John Oliver (Zazu) just to name a few.
