Picture yourself stepping back in time: you walk through the doors of 1837, Alston Bar and Beef Manchester’s intimate speakeasy hidden beneath the restaurant. You are greeted and shown to your table by a host, unaware of what is to come.
The Vanishing Cabaret is a monthly show in Manchester that showcases jaw-dropping magic, astounding sleight of hand and fascinating hypnotic feats from the host of the evening. The retro bar setting only adds to the atmosphere.
After a successful opening night last week, dates for the follow-up shows have just been announced, returning on Thursday 8th August and 11th September, with more to be announced.
The idea of The Vanishing Cabaret came about after Calvert and Fitton, after returning from their sell-out show at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, noticed a distinct lack of live entertainment in Manchester.
Manchester based Aaron Calvert left his life as a doctor and now specialises in extraordinary feats of mind reading and hypnotism. Manchester magician Sam Fitton is a national award winning performer, having dazzled the likes of Colleen & Wayne Rooney, David De Gea and James May.
After recruiting a third performer Joel Dickinson, a professional street busker turned stage performer, the trio created an award-winning formula for an awe-inspiring and fun filled evening.
Alston Bar & Beef are offering 20% off the à la carte menu for ticket buyers, plus there are discounts available on tickets bought in pairs from the venue.
