We’ve seen all the flavours that gin companies have to offer in the 21st century… that is, until we found this one.
Ladies and Gentlemen…just when you thought it couldn’t get any weirder, Asparagus gin has arrived in town.
OK, so we’re open minded. We embrace change. We champion individuality. So we’re willing to give this one a try.
Claire Spreadbury, of Xpose.ie, tried Asparagus Gin from Hussingtree and here’s what she had to say…
Firstly, she described the gin as “pretty whiffy”, and not in a good way. However, she added: “Drank neat, it’s warm, toasty and viscous.” She went on to say: “Watered down with tonic and a slice of lemon, it’s actually pretty delicious.” We’ll take Spreadbury’s word for it!
Here’s what Hussingtree has to say about it: “Through distillation the asparagus delivers an earthy, nutty-sweetness on the palate.
“Our blend of botanicals, enhanced by local brine salt that’s added during the distillation process, complements its characteristics wonderfully.”
Hussingtree’s Asparagus Gin costs £24.95 for 35cl bottle or £41.50 for a full-size bottle.
