Northern Quarter Coffee Shop Urges Mancs To Stop Visiting Chains

They are even willing to offer free coffee...

Love your coffee? Of course you do.

We get through a lot of it in Manchester. And it’s easy to become a creature of habit once you’ve found your favourite caffeine crux.

A Northern Quarter coffee shop wants Mancs to support the local community - and stop spending their hard earned cash with the global coffee conglomerates.

(Yes - that’s Costa, Starbucks, and Caffe Nero).

They are going as far as offering free coffee for the next two weeks - to anybody that takes in a loyalty card from one of the ‘big three’ brands named above.

Nikita Lyle, owner of 19 Cafe Bar says, “We should be working together as small business owners to support each other. Shopping, eating and drinking local is really important and with so many people living in the city centre we want to encourage them to try something new and support their local coffee shop.”

A Costa, Starbucks, or Nero loyalty card will get you a regular coffee of your choice from today right up until 19th November. And - if the coffee floats your boat - you can get a 19 Cafe Bar loyalty card in exchange.

The cafe is situated on Lever Street, just up from Piccadilly Gardens.

It is open Monday to Wednesday 9am - 5pm, Thursday and Friday 9am - 9pm and Sunday 10am - 5pm.
