Pigs in blankets.
The trademark item of any Christmas lunch, and something that most of us (bar the non-meat eaters) are looking forward to year round.
This year even the veggies and vegans can get involved though, as pigs in blanket flavoured tea bags have been launched by Sainsbury’s.
That’s not the only mental flavour of tea they’ve launched though…
Bring to mind the COMPLETE OPPOSITE food item to the pig in blanket. As in, it’s only flopped out over Christmas but they taste bloody awful.
Yep, you nailed it – brussel sprout flavoured tea is also a thing that now exists on planet earth.
I honestly don’t know what to think anymore. When (and why) did Christmas get so bizarre?
In case you’re wondering – and let’s face it, you are – GrimsbyLive have done the taste test. Check it out here.
To summarise – both are relatively realistic tea-takes on a classic Christmas food item: if you like pigs in blankets, you’ll probably enjoy the tea…. If you like brussel sprouts (!?) you’ll probably enjoy the tea.
At £1 for 20 teabags, I suppose there’s only one way to find out the truth.
