But sometimes you get so used to the amazing stuff on your doorstep that you don’t even get round to seeing it.

We’ve checked out the top 10 TripAdvisor attractions inn Manchester – so if you have some spare time today, you can gt out and see the city you call home.

1. John Rylands Library

This stunning historic building welcomes visitors from around the world – and you can see why.

2. Escape rooms

There are nine of these and the site’s brought them all together, including Breakout Manchester, Lucardo, Lockin Real Escape, The Escape Room and The Crystal Maze.

4. Etihad Stadium

8. Manchester Art Gallery

Smack-bang in the city centre, this is not so much hidden but it is a gem, with a gorgeous cafe and some stunning artworks to discover for free.
