Manchester has been blessed with amazing pubs and bars, each with their own drinks menus.
So you don’t miss out on the good stuff, we’ve gone through them all to find the best of the best.
From fancy cocktails to classic pints, this is the list to work your way through.
Well, it’s less the drink – effervescent nectar as it is – and more the location: Cloud 23.
More than just a bar, the floating paradise located at the highest point in Manchester is ideal of fans of cocktails, or even just afternoon tea.
But we think these panoramic city views just demand fizz.
2. Ardbeg Tripel Whisky Sour
— Stout ‘n’ Sour (@_stoutnsour) October 11, 2016
The Cloudwater Brewing Company have just won best brewery in the UK – and number five in the whole WORLD – at the Rate BeerAwards.
Celebrate their win with an ale-style beer made with Ardbeg Whisky – deliciously sour and one for beer fans.
3. The Toblerone – Alston Bar & Beef
This winter they’re serving an array of cocktails upstairs and below in this drinking den too.
The Toblerone = the one.
We’d take refuge under the mistletoe with a glass of this any day.
4. Raspberry Ripple – Bierkeller
Bierkeller might not be first on your list for a cocktail stop – but trust us, this one is a taste explosion – if you’re a fan of dessert cocktails but can’t bear it if they’re overly creamy this is the one for you!
Delectable, tangy and just the right amount of sweet – the signature raspberry ripple from the Printworks gaff is our drink of choice this December…
5. Dead Red Zombie
The Alchemist has that ‘drinking den’ thing down, with surroundings almost as important as the booze.
But this drink is something else. Made with Barcardi, Wray and Nephew, Grand Marnier, lime, pineapple, cranberry, zombie mix and SMOKE – this is more of an experience than a beverage.
6. Gin and Tonic
There’s not much says ‘weekend’ like a G&T, but Gorilla have a frightfully delicious gin with cucumber and rosemary that is pretty close to heaven.
Made using Ford’s gin at the gin parlour with more than 30 on the menu, the flavourings are completely free of sin.
7. No. 8 – CBRB
The English Smokey Malt, whipped together with a heady combination of cinnamon smoke, apple honey nocino cordial, lemon and dark night bitters – it’s enough to put a rosy glow in anyone’s cheeks.
8. Thai One
A contemporary take on an old medicine store, there are weird and wonderful brews aplenty in Apotheca.
This award-winning signature cocktail is definitely unusual – made with Ketel One Citroen vodka, chilli, lemongrass, lime, coriander, coconut and ginger beer – but it’s a must-try.
9. Lady Didsbury’s Daquiri
Opulent and mysterious, the bespoke Gotham Hotel houses Club Brass – a VIP member’s club lounge on the seventh floor offering a tempting bar menu and cocktails.
Two vault-like doors invite members in, and Lady Didsbury’s Daiquiri – that’s apricot-infused Bacardi with yellow Chartreuse and fresh citrus – will let you see how the other half lives.
Come and say hello! We have fresh pints and a chilled atmosphere. You will forget it’s Monday in no time. ???? pic.twitter.com/j3qIx8zduf

Beer fans will know the Se7en Brothers brewery – in the heart of Salford, it’s already found itself a place on the beloved ale stage.
Head to their beer house on Blossom Street in Ancoats and have a pint of this malty brew – you won’t regret it.
