Just Outside Of The City Centre Lies A Spa Hotel That's All About The Good Life

A lovely little spot to treat yourself

What to do when you're stressed as hell? For some, it's taking a moment to chill with a good book or chat with mates – for me, I like to completely retreat inside myself and go for a full pamper sesh.

Getting completely spoilt cures all woes, right? And so I found myself at Suites Hotel & Spa in Knowsley, ready to spend a whole day with bae with nothing else but the sweet smell of essential oils and prosecco for company.

It's a fairly short drive from the Manchester, depending what angle you're coming at it from, but non-drivers take note: it is a bit of a merry-go-round to get to the hotel itself otherwise so I would recommend you get a lift here.

Recently renovated, it's airy and instantly impressive

The entire four-star hotel is home to a range of ninety-eight Suites, a Restaurant and Brasserie, Leisure Club , a lavish spa, and a speciality bistro for spa guests.

It's also a wedding venue offering a speciality "Twilight" and "Sunday Wedding" packages...

But let's be honest, you just care about that spa, right?

The spa features a Thermal Suite for a heat and ice journey like no other – rejuvenating mud treatments in the double Rasul Chamber and over 90 luxurious treatments...

It's clear the The Spa at Suites Knowsley was built with one purpose in mind: opulence.

Spa
Relaxation Room

It's stocked with all the very best beauty products on the market products, and premium brands that use natural, organic ingredients and smell AH-MAZING - as well as their own signature range.

The changing rooms are full to the brim with all the gadgets you need to make yourself feel and look amazing pre and post-treatments, so once you change into your fluffy robes and slippers and head back to the relaxation room you're already feeling like a fairy princess.

It's no surprise that in October 2017, The Suites Hotel and Spa was awarded a ‘5 Bubble’ rating for the third year, for its state-of-the art Spa by The Good Spa Guide, the independent national gauge by which spas up and down the country are reviewed and rated.

For those not in the know ;) the ‘5 Bubbles’ rating is the highest score and The Spa at Suites Hotel was the first spa around these parts to receive this accolade.

Inviting, right?

Quick trip to the mud bath before feasting on fish cakes and prosecco; this is the life, eh?

The thermal area is a large, decadent space with a "do-it-yourself" foot treatment, steam room, sauna and tropical showers.

There's also a gym onsite but even I'm not that crazy to add a workout into my super chilled spa day. Prosecco and pampering all the way, please!

Prosecco spa lunch in the bistro added some extra class to the day

Style, and pure glorious greed.

The spa bistro is a bright and contemporary area which offers a relaxed and informal area, and the friendly staff are more than happy to chat you through the varied offering, which ranges from hearty, warming chilli con carne, to hot fishcakes, rocket and tartare sauce and vibrant, refreshing salads.

A festive afternoon tea will also soon be available at the Suites. A well-deserved rest after day at the award-winning Spa at Suites, the package includes generously-filled handmade sandwiches with the likes of Prawn Marie, Cheese and Pickle, Ham and Cranberry and Turkey and Stuffing alongside Freshly Baked Scones, Festive Cakes and Fancies and frshly brewed tea and coffee.

It's priced at £14.95 per person or £19.95 per person with a glass of fizz. You can also combine it with an Illuminating Facial or de-stress back massage for £75.

It's only a short drive from town yet a day here feels like you've been at a retreat miles away from all the hustle and bustle.

I rolled out of the hotel feeling super chill and ready to tackle a new week. What more could you ask for?
